Performance Designs would like to congratulate Niles Newton the new ASC National Powered parachute Overall Champion. For his efforts, Niles has bragging rites for the next year and his first place prize trophy and a brand new Performance Designs Sunriser 500 wing.

John Wilson wins the World Power Parachute Championships for a second year in a row. His wing of choice a Performance Designs Sunriser 500! Performance Designs Inc. would like to congratulate John for winning the one of the closest competition in the history of the WPPC.

A TV show called “Hands on History” visited PD recently to film an episode about the Evolution of Parachutes. The show was aired on the History Channel in December 2004 featured the manufacturing process of PD's canopies.
Ron Hazelton, the host of the show, participated in the manufacturing process by learning how to inspect fabric, sew reinforcement tape and finger-trap steering lines. After learning about the intricate process of building a parachute and seeing our detailed quality control, his confidence was boosted and he Ron decided to take one for a ride!
The staff at Skydive Deland's took him on a tandem jump and he loved it!

Clyde Poser from Buckley Washington won the WPPC for the second time! Clyde took home a new Powrachute Rascal with a Performance Designs Barnstormer for his efforts. Second place went to Jeff Jensen and third to Matt Cummings. Congratulations to the Champ! |
